SEASON OF CHANGE : Twisting & Letting Go w/ Joan Hyman
The Fall is the season of change due to it's wind-like quality of vata, known in the ayurvedic system. Ayurveda means the science of life and is the sister science of yoga. Living these two methods together can help invite more balance and ease into your life especially as we go through change. Fall is symbolically the season where the leaves fall off the trees and things begin to change. Joan will discuss how our bodies respond to this change because of the increase in the element of wind, our bodies literally begin to dry out. The season of fall is a time to transform and a good time to shed old skin and make room for something new to come in. Twisting postures are powerful poses that can help cleanse our organs and release stagnant energy. After this intense twisting and core centered practice, we will end this 90 Minute session with pranayama before settling into a deep relaxation.
